Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the third largest Mosque in the world, located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Over 80 snow-white domes look like they were built using pure clouds. Though the Mosque is brand new, it draws on classical Islamic architecture.
This morning I sat around my room and stared blankly at my computer for a while. I never realised how boring my mornings were without classes… Regardless, I looked at my clock and it said 11:11.
OOOOOOO! WISH TIME!
After my wish was made, I had to wonder why of all the displayed numbers on the digital clock we decide to wish on 11:11. It’s a silly superstion but still, I like to overthink things until they’re pretty much dead.
The first thing I had to ask was: Is it because of the pattern? If that were the case, would 12:12 be an acceptable wishing time as well? Or for those using a 24 hour digital clock, 22:22? If it really is the pattern, will nonsimilar patterns work too? 12:34 seems like a cool time. Can I wish across time zones? The other day I excited told my sister on the west coast it was 11:11 and she told me, “No, it’s 8:11 over here.” That being the case, it’s 11:11 every hour. Do I get to make a wish every hour? Does the 11:11 have to be PM? Or am I allowed to make a wish in the morning as well?
